  • Good Morning everyone! Hope your weekends have been great! I have company today and a few events, so busy busy as usual here at the Reptarium. Hope you enjoy the kind of throwback heavy snake centric vlog today! Let me know in the comments what you think? Should I do more of these or maybe just mix them in once in a while? Yesterday was the first day in a week or so that I felt pretty anxious, thankfully today I feel better. Its a journey and one that takes time to fully heal. I know I am close, but still a bit of work to do. Speaking of work we are back to working on the basement and the three rooms to add to the already Camera control room and podcast rooms. Hoping to have these done by the end of the month along with the sloth room! And speaking of Sloths, Stuart from Universal Rocks sent me a pic of the sloth tree he is making for us and holy cow its awesome! Hoping to have that baby the end of this coming week! Can't wait to show you guys how this room will look once its done! Have a great day everyone! love you so much! Brian

    • @Brian Barczyk I just wanted to say how much I love and appreciate everything that you do for us. That New Gene looks like a Ginger Snap cookie with its colourings, it's absolutely stunning and I am looking forward to see where you take it. As I am with all of your projects but especially the reverse gene project to find the exact genes of those super special siblings and Mom! I only found your channel earlier this year and I want to say thank you. I can't say why, just thank you!! I love you all and maybe one day my dreams will come true and I will somehow make it there to visit. Love from the UK xxxx

    • Late to comment but I just want to say- as a snake breeder, the BHB footage is really what I love and gives me such peace and nostalgia thinking back to when I was a kid watching you on SnakeBytes and just being inspired. I love the Reptarium and the message you're bringing to the public and want to see that get as big as possible. But for me, seeing that old fashioned snake breeding footage is where it's at. Thanks Brian.

  • Brian, I have been afraid of snakes all my life. During the COVID-19 lockdown, to help with boredom I was browsing UZworld and came across your videos. I watched one or two, then more and more and now I'm hooked! Lately, I’ve even had fleeting thoughts of owning a small docile snake, but then I come to my senses and dismiss those thoughts! Oh, by the way, I’m an 80 year old Grandma. I’ll keep watching, though!

  • I loved seeing the projects and what their plans are for how they will look... Brian I would love to see some pictures of snake that change patterns and colours over the years as I don’t know what all the snakes, let alone all of the morphs look like... and you must admit you rattle of those morphs fast and I don’t catch it half the time. I would love a slowed down sort of visual tutorial of the snakes and their morphs... but it’s just a request (oh also cause in Australia we don’t get most of these snakes and I would love to at least see what I would otherwise love to own 🤣

  • Hi Brian, i guess following on from Evelyn Rojas' comment earlier - I have been watching u for about 6 months now. I dont own any reptiles, all my pets are furry so my knowledge is only what I pick up from u. U give us so much information though in each single video which is great for people that have much more knowledge than I but I do struggle to keep up. I wonder if u could produce some sort of information sheet which tells me and maybe other what markings make a clown a clown, an enchi, a pin stripe, banana, lori, cinnamon, spinner, pastel etc etc etc. I'm not stupid but for instance when u say one is pastel I sometimes get it but then I see a much darker one which u also call a pastel and I'm confused again. Another question, other than when they're looking after their eggs, are ball pythons always so docile? They are all super cute when wrapped up in a ball, they don't look like snakes at all. U are definitely living ur best life Brian, u are a lucky guy but also from what I can tell u are a really nice guy who loves what u do. Stay safe Brian, friends and family.

  • I need your advice please, I have s boa who refuses to eat. I have taken him to the vet twice for a couple of things, one I thought he had mouth rot because he keeps his mouth open slightly but he doesn't. Then he has a sore on the end of his tail that I have been treating daily. When I bought him he was underweight. He has put on some weight but not enough. He just shed . Should I try and force feed. I don't want to hurt him. Please help.

Ignoring the fact that thousands of Burmese are being killed and no help from people that are selling them .there probally some that you sold ..wheres the justice ....oh yeah by the way I'm pissed by that click bait .. Bad move

  • Is Lori an axanthic morph?

    Mark PortoMark Porto18 kun oldin
  • Have you ever considered actually creating a genetic DNA map for morphs? It sounds like something a Hepatology research student (and Kevin) would enjoy as a project. Finding out what genes actually play a part in certain morphs. Then when you have a "mystery" you could have it run against the data base to find out...

I picked up a couple more a few years ago and within the last 6 months, I have gone from 3 to 10 and I’m not done growing my collection. 2021 will be my first year with more than 2 clutches as I actually start some serious breeding.

I look at it this way down sizing is not closing and you have expressed that keeping some animals in tubs isnt always the most enriched life. So I say down size and make enrichment for the aniamls u are keeping a bigger priority. Happier animals over quantity of animals.
