  • Good Morning everyone! Hope your Sunday is starting great and your weekends were amazing! As you know I love playing with cobras and its so true that when I am all my issues go away! For those moments I am focused only on that snake and nothing else.. I am working towards having that feeling all the time and always focusing on the moment and not worrying about the future as much as I do. Forward thinking is important in business and life, but worrying about the future causes anxiety and that is what I am working on getting away from! I think later this week I will get in with Ivy and Ares and see how they react! I actually have some fun blogs planned all week to be honest! So I hope you will enjoy them! Thanks as always for supporting me and being so amazing! I truly love each of you so much! Have a great day! Brian

    • I love you Brian! And Lori is such an incredible woman, you can tell just how much she loves you and is going through this with you. I struggle with anxiety and depression as well, you really have to take it minute by minute...really stay in the moment and feel those emotions and then release them. I meditate and do yoga now and it has really helped me out a lot, being in tune with my body and soul and just releasing those negative emotions really has helped the healing process. I would be really interested to see how Ivy and Ares react to you when youre having anxiety, they may turn into an emotional support animal and really calm you when you really need it most. Praying for you and Lori and Noah, you guys are such a strong and connected family and that will be so pivotal on this journey of learning how to cope the best you can! Love you!

    • There is absolutely something real and physical you can do for anxiety. If there really is not much of an emotional reason for anxiety or sadness, it just comes out of nowhere, it might be about nutrition. Even if there is an emotional reason, these will help. Myself and many people I know got rid of both by doing a double/triple daily dosage of B12 (get it as methyl cobalamine), and omega 3 (as in dha/epa). Look up the symptoms in the deficiency of those and see what you think. Worth a try, and certainly no harm unless you've got a problem with blood being too runny, then just a normal intake of omega 3. Calcium also takes part in serotonin metabolism, that's also safe to increase. Take action and take care, you're worthy and entitled to feeling ok! I can remember many times years ago when I had depression watching you goof around with snakes made me laugh, thanks for that!

And I don't know what sort of problems that you have but that may help it and hopefully you get better as soon as you start seeing more people going into your zoo. Take care and stay safe bro and thank you for doing your videos still

  • Hi this is my first time commenting here. I’m actually a new viewer. I have never been a fan of reptiles in person but I find that watching your videos is a wonderful way for me to meet and learn about these awesome animals without fear. That being said I am a fellow anxiety sufferer. In this video while talking about your anxiety you said something that caught my attention. Like myself when you are anxious you prefer to have your family or loved ones around you. You also said something like it might sound silly but sometimes just a hug even helps. I will tell you that’s not silly at all. I feel the same way myself but more than that there are studies that show human touch can heal. Have you ever heard about “The Rescuing Hug”? If not please look it up on UZworld. What happened in this story changed the way the medical field viewed touch. Long story short needing a hug is not silly by any means. Also if you view the video twins, now 17, rescued by hug at birth have your tissues handy. It gets you in the feels for sure. I hope this is of some sort of help to you. I just felt compelled to share. Thank you for sharing your passion with the rest of the world.

  • For me it was almost just as awful feeling like a burden to loved ones than it was dealing with the actual anxiety. You know you aren’t capable of being your usual self and your significant other, parent or family member has to pick up the slack. Then the guilt feeling kicks in and it’s just a vicious cycle. I know how difficult it is, but I also know it does eventually get better. When you are in it it seems hopeless, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to hold on until then. Praying for you. 😃

  • Anxiety is the devil it makes you downgrade yourself & makes you think that no one cares when in reality they do. If they don't you need to find better people/friends. Even though you might be sad on the inside & other people around you try to remain positive & see the best in life you might even think just because they're not sad they don't care & that's not always necessary true. To a lot of people you may have a lot more than them or more than they ever would. One of my favorite quotes is "The things you take for granted someone else is praying for!" I can't remember who that quote is by but I think it is very true in a sense & very sweet. Never let the dark side win! Those voices of doubt are from satin because you are loved & you are worthy!💪

They got so bad it would take every last bit of energy I had just to leave my house. Then I was prescribed medicinal marijuana. Let me tell you, it changed my life. I understand there is a stigma that comes along with it but for me, it's been life changing. I can now go out places with minimal fear, something I couldn't even imagine doing before it. • Thank you Brian and Lori for sharing your journey. My mom (who would be 83 this year) lived with what I believe was un-diagnosed depression for as long as I can remember. As a teenager I didn't understand why she was the way she was or why she did the things she did. I did my best to understand her and support her, but it took a lot out of me. Then when she was in her 70's she got cancer. I can tell you 100%, as hard as it was watching my big strong Mama waste away with that terrible disease, it was more bearable and less confusing and terrifying than the depression. Cancer is a word understood almost everywhere. It's tangible, visible and exhibited by a distinct physiological change. No one (in my experience anyway) ever says "pray the cancer away" or "if you would give it to God" or "have enough faith" it would all go away. I have heard this from many people in regards to mental illness, from (well meaning) people of varying faiths, not just Christianity so don't anybody get all "up" about it. No one ever told my mom "take a cancer pill and move on with your day" but "take a 'happy pill' (aka anti depressant) and 'get over it' or 'move on'..." Those are said to people with mental illness all the time. When, as a care giver for someone with cancer or any other tangible illness, someone says "what's wrong? Are you ok?" and you tell them "this person in my life has this illness and I am providing care and support for them" you are honored, hugged, maybe even given offers of "if you need a break call me and I would be happy to come over and sit with them for a while." But when you say "my loved one has clinical depression, severe anxiety, BPD, DID, or any of the many others on the seemingly endless list", there is seldom the sudden look of understanding or the offer of help. But besides all the external stuff (read whining about other people) as a loved one, care giver, emotional support person... you don't look at a loved one that is battling cancer and think "if I was ______ enough (fill in the blank or remove it, it works either way) they would not be losing this battle. I should be able to just make them better by being here." Yet as a person who loves and cares for someone fighting a very real battle in their head (often caused by chemical issues) we feel exactly that. "Why isn't my love and support enough to make them feel better? Why can't I take away their pain?" There is so much to this that we still have to learn. Bless you both for all you do. You are amazing. Love, hugs and prayers for all of you.

    nix pixnix pix2 oy oldin
  • You can take medications for anxiety. It's not worse than cancer! Just because your brain isn't making the right chemicals doesn't mean that it's somehow made up. All sickness is internal. Not everyone "feels" these things, it's pretty ableist to condense mental illness to "everyone feels that way". That's what people have been telling me about my ADHD my whole life. I hope you can look towards mental health professionals instead of thinking that your mental health is worse than cancer.

  • Im a little disapointed when you first did the poll on whether or not to talk about your mental issues i told you on the poll i said go for it but you need to be very careful about how you frame things people hang on your words and actions and ive been very disapointed to see what you have been reccomending please be more cautious or else i cant watch you any more you are going to cause more harm than help if people have these issues they need to get into real weekly therapy and get to the root harmful coping strategys dont help in the long run

Please don't think of me as a jerk but mental health and addiction go hand in hand and there's children watching your vlog, I vote again alcohol ads

  • I absolutely loved this anxiety talk today.. my 10 y/o daughter struggles with anxiety, anger management, depression, and hyper vigilance. My husband and I adopted her and she has been with us since she was 2 1/2. She had more hardship in that short 2 and a half years then most people have in there whole life. Thankfully she doesn't remember most of it. But the mental issues that resulted from it are alot for her. I loved hearing Lori say that sometimes when your doing all you can do, it doesn't feel like enough or even anything at all, and then brian coming back with just needing a hug and affirmation. My daughter talks to me alot, and I do what I can for her, but sometimes she just wants to cuddle on my lap and rock in the rocking chair and not talk. I know this is long but it felt good to put it out in the world. Thank you for making this feel ok to talk about.
